FEBRUARY BOOK STUDY
I Am Hutterite: The Fascinating True Story of a Young Woman's Journey to Reclaim Her Heritage by Mary-Ann Kirkby
This memoir is about Mary-Ann's experience growing up in a traditional Hutterite colony in Portage la Prairie and the overwhelming transition her family faced when they left it in 1969 to join mainstream society. The book explores the unique culture of Hutterites, the challenges of adapting to a world they didn't understand, and Kirkby's later journey to reclaim her heritage.
